    The United Nations is worried that Somalia might be close to acute famine as a report by the international body reveals that at least, five million Somalis are in dire need of food due to a prolonged drought and conflict which has led to continued displacement of its people

    It added that the situation will get even worse by the end of this year.

    Malnutrition levels have also increased dramatically over the last six months especially amongst children.

    UN believes the situation is of serious concern as it comes at a time the country is facing multiple challenges adding that urgent action needs to be taken to reduce the risk of it sliding into a catastrophe.
